What I can't stop wearing right now

Repeat offender alert.

I'm not going to lie... I go through phases with my fashion choices. They're influenced by many things - mainly my mood (e.g. CBF today = an oversized tee, denim and sneakers), my location (e.g. white on white when by the water) and what's caught my eye around the WWW of late.

That's not to say I'm inconsistent or impulsive with what I buy - everything has to pass the test of 'will I wear it more than once, and where?'. And my latest three obsessions are no exception to the rule.

Read on to find out what they are.

1. CULOTTES

I hear you - 'GROUNDBREAKING'.

I know they're not exactly something new, but lately I've found a new appreciation for wide-legged proportions.

And in my humble opinion, no one does culottes like Bassike does culottes.

These ones are made from a soft, relaxed fabric and the leg is really exaggerated (which = way more fash, duh), so they create a really flattering silhouette when worn with something more fitted on top. Oh, and they're the comfiest things ever = H E A V E N .

2. STRAPLESS EVERYTHING

When it comes to necklines, let's just say I'm a woman of extremes - I like 'em ultra-high or ultra-low.

I love the combination of a strapless top with culottes because the bare shoulders balance-out the tomboyish shape of the pants and keep things feminine (I applied this same rule to this outfit I wore to the races on the weekend).

3. 70's INSPIRED SUNGLASSES.

I'm blaming it on Miu Miu. And Chloé. And The Row. And pretty much everyone really. I've been devoted to my classic cat eye shapes for so long that it's nice to change things up a bit.

If you're unfamiliar with the brands I'm wearing in this post, I'm proud to say they're all Australian, and my international readers can now shop some of the best labels we have to offer down under like KitX and Bassike on Farfetch. Get there!
